For week 4's assignment, I was very intrigued by the notion of 'liminal spaces'. I had never heard of this term before this class, but after researching it a bit, I realized that I was familiar with the qualities of liminal spaces even before I was aware of what it was.
As a photographer, there was a period of time where I was drawn to capturing 'quiet environments', or areas that were devoid of people (despite being packed in the daytime). There was something about the absence of human presence that made it eerie, but captivating at the same time.
I decided to go through my photo reel and pick out some images that would be considered pictures of liminal spaces.
