Final Project Process Screenshots:
Because Dimension lacked the modeling elements of a traditional 3D software, I was forced to get creative with their basic asset tools, as well as primitive shapes. Most of the scene was composed of different parts from their pre-made assets, while the landscape was generated using primitives. Certain elements such as leaves and other organic shapes could not be created in Dimension, and as a result, I had to model them using Cinema4D.
Final Screengrabs:
After finishing up with some post-processing using Photoshop, I had a few thoughts regarding Adobe Dimension. The software is definitely an outlier among 3D tools; more specifically, I see it working really well as a quick prototyping tool (such as product mockup, etc). In terms of creating artwork however, it was quite difficult to generate the image in my mind without resorting to Cinema4D for more modeling control. Nonetheless, the experience using Dimension was very valuable, as it showed me just how powerful it is for mockup/prototyping purposes. The interface is very smooth and intuitive, and the wide array of drag-and-drop materials allows users to make an image in a few minutes.
I am really happy with my resulting images, and I feel that they definitely give off a very blessed, dreamy vibe. I really want to keep exploring this realm of 3D art, and create more images to fit this series in the future.
